About Us
Our Story
Kalahari Collective, founded in 2026 by Natalie Yasson, was born from a simple belief: that every person in the region deserves more than survival — they deserve the chance to truly live, to play, and to grow.
Natalie's connection to the Kalahari began in 2006, when she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the village of Karakubis, located in the Western Kalahari in Botswana. Over the years she stayed connected to the people and the region, and she returned for several visits with both her husband and son, most recently in the Fall of 2025. During on-going meetings with community leaders, they learned that access to play, education and mentorship were some of the most critical needs for families in the Kalahari region.
They also know that a lack of access to capital, skills, and resources remains the central barrier facing families and entrepreneurs. They established Kalahari Collective in early 2026 to be the bridge between potential and opportunity.
Our Mission
We work alongside families and youth in the Kalahari region to ensure basic needs are met, children can play and grow, and communities have the tools to build their own futures — making the inaccessible accessible for all.
Our Vision
A Kalahari region where every family is stable, every child is thriving, and every community holds the powerto shape its own future.
